Welcome to the internet home of Meg Burden, award-winning YA fantasy author of the Tales of the Borderlands series.

Meg is a writer and breeder of Siamese cats, living and working in rural Nebraska. Northlander (Tales of the Borderlands, Book One), a fantasy story for readers twelve and older, is her debut novel. It was published by Brown Barn Books in October 2007.

Since its release, Northlander has received praise from readers and reviewers alike. It was a 2007 Cybils Award finalist and an International Reading Association Notable Book, as well as ForeWord Magazine's YA Book of the Year.

Book Two in the Tales of the Borderlands series, currently titled The King Commands, is complete and scheduled for release in Fall/Winter 2009.
